Met-Gun Mark on Solar Energy Projects in Spain

Met-Gün Group, a renowned Turkish enterprise, has embarked on a significant venture in Spain through its subsidiary, Luminous Renewable Energy. Collaborating with ISE Energy of the Spanish Gransolar Group, the company has initiated an EPC agreement for two noteworthy photovoltaic projects. Located in Soria and Zaragoza, these initiatives are set to generate a combined power of 23 MWp, thereby enhancing renewable energy use and consolidating Met-Gün's international reputation.
🌍 Insights into the Zaragoza Project
The Zaragoza project is meticulously designed to accommodate an 11.32 MWp capacity, featuring 16,408 bifacial modules that deliver 690 Wp each. These are provided by PVHardware, a part of the Gransolar Group, and integrated with single-axis solar tracking systems. This setup is estimated to produce over 21,000 MWh per year, vastly improving energy efficiency. Such innovative measures underline the renewable energy sector's expansion, establishing it as a crucial industry player.
🌍 Unpacking the Soria Project
While the Zaragoza project is impressive, the Soria one especially merits attention for its specifications and ambitions:
1. Technical Specifications
The Soria project features an installed capacity of 11.79 MWp using 16,968 modules. It also employs single-axis solar tracking systems, expected to generate more than 20,000 MWh annually. Together with Zaragoza, the total projected output for both projects exceeds 41,000 MWh/year.
2. Strategic Ambitions
As part of its strategic blueprint, Luminous Renewable Energy aims to achieve a 1 GW capacity in Spain within the next three years. These investments signify the company's intent to become a dominant force in Spain's evolving energy market, thereby fortifying its leadership and scaling up production in renewable sources.
